Chinese and German firms on Tuesday signed $15 billion worth of deals during a visit by Premier Wen Jiabao to Germany. The two countries' leaders also proclaimed mutual support in the global economic recovery and reforms of the international financial system.
"The contracts signed today represent more than $15 billion," AFP quoted Wen as saying during a joint news conference with Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin.
The 14 agreements, inked following the first round of China-Germany inter-governmental consultation, include a Chinese order for 62 A320s from European aircraft manufacturer Airbus, the German government said. However, Airbus later amended the figure to 88.
Wen and Merkel also pledged a big increase in trade between the biggest Asian and European runescape accountseconomies over the next five years. Speaking at an economic forum, Merkel said China and Germany aim to boost their annual bilateral trade volume to $284 billion by 2015.
"The annual trade volume of $284 billion is an ambitious target, but the figure is realistic for China and Germany, which are the world's number two and number four economy respectively," Feng Zhongping, director of the European Studies Center at the China Institutes of Contemporary International relations (CICIR), told the Global Times. Feng noted that bilateral trade has greatly risen in recent years, hitting a record $184 billion in 2010.

In his meeting with Merkel, Premier Wen also urged the German side to recognize China as a full-market economy and remove trade barriers, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The German chancellor told her Chinese counterpart that German companies still do not enjoy the same access to the Chinese market as local companies and called for more cooperation on intellectual property.

A letter from five environmental non-government organizations (NGOs) accusing a government institute of cheating in its assessment report for a planned garbage incineration plant has drawn a response from the Ministry of Environmental Protection. The NGOs also plan to blacklist irresponsible institutes nationwide by encouraging tip-offsrunescape accounts from the public.
The Beijing-based NGOs, including Green Beagle and the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPE), sent two open letters to the ministry and the Haidian district government respectively on June 20 and June 16, calling the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences "questionable" and "unqualified" in its assessment of the environmental impact of the Sujiatuo garbage incineration plant in Haidian, which is slated for construction within the year and will occupy an area of 249.7 square kilometers.
The academy, which is under the China Meteorological Administration, was assigned runescape itemsby a district government-invested environmental protection company to conduct an assessment that included a survey of residents' opinions about the planned projects.
According to a public release of the assessment on the Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau's (EPB) website, 91.4 percent of 500 people and 100 percent of groups surveyed were supportive of the incinerator project, the letter said.

Liu Detian has put his small county of 1 million on the map by helping to protect thousands of local birds.
Panjin County, Liaoning Province is a typical petrol town created to service the Liaohe Oilfield, but it's also one of the main nesting ground for the endangered Saunders' Gull.
Liu, a journalist founded an environmental organization to runescape moneyprotect the rare seagull, making his county known as "the hometown of Heizui'ou," which in English are known as the Saunders' Gull.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Liu's pet project, the Heizui'ou Protection Association, making it one of the earliest grassroots environmental NGOs in China.

The city's subway operators denied Thursday that the public transport system is unsafe, saying that only less than 2 percent of station exits encountered "minor leaks" during the last week's heavy downpour, adding that the problem has already been fixed.

Chelsea have appointed former FC Porto boss Andre Villas-Boas as their new manager in a record-breaking deal, a club statement announced Wednesday.
The 33-year-old, who emerged as the front runner for the job after resigning as Porto coach on Tuesday, has signed a three-year contract.

London's police said they were prepared for the possibility of bomb threats and attacks targeting the Wimbledon tennis championships as the tournament got under way Monday.
Superintendent Pete Dobson, the day-to-day police commander at the All England Club, said their plans for policing the runescape accountschampionships had to be set against the national threat levels posed by international and Irish republican terrorism.
He stressed that no specific threats had been made against the tournament but London's police were nonetheless on alert.

Australian Federal Police (AFP) have smashed an online child sexual abuse ring operating across Australia, arresting a number of men and rescuing two children.

The flamboyant and exuberant Fringe, running from August 5 to 29, covers the full range of theatrical artistry, from cabaret through to comedy, opera, theater and music.

Art Gallery of Western Australia on Friday said it will team up with New York's Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) to host an exclusive art exhibition showcasing the works of modern masters including Andy Warhol and runescape accountsPablo Picasso.

Opening track "Rebirth" embodies many of those decisions; ominous but familiar synth patches, bass lines predominately of octave pulses (think Blur's "Girls and Boys"), less guitar and lots more high-pitched female sprech-stimme (or "talking on pitch").

The raw electric bass line on "Something New" grabs instantly with an insistent groove, overdriven guitar lines and vocal harmonies filling out the chorus.
The rest, unfortunately, fails to stir the imagination – runescape itemslots of synthesized meandering and little rhythmic variation outside four-bar phrasing and straight rhythms. Low point "Are You Sure?" (answer: no) sounds bored with its own lethargic beats, bass lines and squeals.
However much like Xiao He's upcoming release (now pushed to August), the packaging is creative – a flash drive contains 11 tracks, a music video for "Beyond" and a documentary, all packaged in a retro cassette-shaped case.
Overall, PC delivered a polished production – but instead of extended dance remixes, they'd have fared better shaving a minute off every song and condensing them into short, disco-driven jabs.runescape accounts Add more vocal lines and vary the four-bar phrasing and they've really got something you can enjoy on or off a dance floor.
So listen while reliving all the thrusting and squealing in your head – just don't forget to lock the door first.

With a successful Year of Australian Culture in China wrapping up, large-scale cultural festival will begin in Australia later this month to showcase a rich variety of China's traditional runescape accountsand contemporary culture, presenting a near-panoramic picture of China to the Australian people.

Following public concerns over the recent Forbidden City members-only scandal, a nationwide investigation into similar illegal luxury clubs run by or set up in public museums and other cultural heritage institutions has been launched.
According to Dong Baohua, deputy director of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the administration has ordered local authorities to investigate any possiblers2 items cases and report their findings today.
Fierce criticism was generated after the discovery of an exclusive club in the Forbidden City's Jianfu Palace, where memberships were reported to cost as much as 1 million yuan ($153,846).
It was reported Friday that the management team of Beijing's White Dagoba, or Beita Temple, which has been selected as one of China's Important Historical Monuments runescape goldunder Special Preservation, has rented part of its temple houses to two companies.
One runs a high-end restaurant, where the average consumption per person is 920 yuan ($142.05) and non-dining tourists are not allowed to enter, while the other sells tatty artifacts like Buddha statues, persuading tourists to buy thousand-yuan goods with the threat of bad luck otherwise.
He Pei, management director of the White Dagoba, rs goldresponded Monday that the rooms in question do not belong to the protected area. For many theatre folk in the capital, the old rehearsal rooms of the National Theater of China (NTC) at Maoer Hutong were witness to the birth of classic drama in Beijing.
Now screwball comedy 24-Hour Store, from the creative Chinese director Tian Qinxin, debuting in the Easter Pioneer Theater on June 15, will be the last castrs2 items to see its former glory.
"I'll insist on holding rehearsals here until the performance, as there are lots of memories left here," said Tian, who's just finished historical play Yellow Storm, from a classic story by Lao She.
The NTC moved to its new location on Guang'anmen Street on May 18.
Tian's first comedy claims to be combination of suspense and screwball, a genre of romantic comedyrunescape gold predominant in Hollywood from the mid-1930s to the mid-1940s and characterized by erratic, often ridiculous performances.
"It is different from black comedy; screwball is more warm… although it also shed lights on social problems. You can feel helplessness but also love and laughter," said Tian.
Adapted from the movie Night Store (2009), the production tells the story of a detective's investigation of a diamond robbery.
"One characteristics of us Chinese people is to be optimistic, to force ourselves to rs goldforget pain after a night's sleep no matter how bad it is."

A Chinese film festival will launch next month in both Myanmar's new capital of Nay Pyi Taw and its former capital Rangoon, under the culture exchange program runescape powerlevelingof Myanmar and China, according to the Culture Counselor of the Chinese Embassy, Gao Hua.
The film week will last from June 11 to 17. Five films – Walking to School, Bodyguards and Assassins, Jing Tian Dong Di (roughly translated as World Shaking), Confucius and Sky Fighters, rs goldamong which some feature stories about the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, the history of China's air force and kung fu, will screen in the two major cities of Myanmar.
Both countries have been cooperating in this sector over the last decade. Spain's second-biggest poetry prize has recently been awarded this year to a volume honoring unsung heroines of history, including Artemisia Gentileschi, 17th-century Italian painter, and Irena Sendler, who saved 2,500 Jewish children byrs2 items smuggling them out of the Warsaw Ghetto during the Nazi occupation.
Sendler was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007, a year before her death. She lost to former US Vice President Al Gore and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
